THE BALLET STUDIO GRADUATING SENIOR DANCERS / 2023-2024 . . .

Isabella Simms | Senior Dancer

I've danced previously for a few years at Steps and Pirouettes and decided to continue and move to TBS Dance. Dancing has always made want to move around and have something to look forward to. TBS has been super welcoming since joining. I'm super happy to be able to end my dancing years at TBS but sad it's gonna be over.

Gabriella Senf | Senior Dancer

I have spent my entire dancing career at The Ballet Studio since I was 4 years old. My parents signed me up after noticing I used dancing as a way to get around the house more than walking. Starting out in Saturday morning classes with Miss Stacy, I very quickly fell in love with dancing. As I continued, I wanted to be involved in as many classes as possible, joining ballet and Miss Cara's hip-hop. After begging my mom, I finally joined the competition team when I was eight. My first production was the Wizard of Oz and after my first competition I knew dancing would forever be part of me. Going into my senior year with years of quick changes, sequenced costumes, and early morning competitions behind me, I know I will take the lessons learned from teachers and teammates with me far into my future. Not coming back next fall seems like an inconceivable thought, but I know this studio has set me up for great things. I am thankful it is so hard to leave, because that means it was so amazing to stay.

Alexis Scott | Senior Dancer

The Ballet Studio has been a great place for me. I'm able to talk to my friends and move my body in a way that makes me feel good. Ms. Amanda is incredibly kind and supportive. She has helped me become more confident in my abilities and I couldn't be more grateful to have her as my teacher.

Sydnee Carr | Senior Dancer

I started dancing at TBS Saturday mornings with Ms. Tara when I was in pre-school. In my last two years of being at The Ballet Studio, I have been helping Ms. Amber, who has been my teacher for most of my years at TBS, with her Friday night combo class. The Ballet Studio has offered me a place of comfort and has gifted me the ability to express myself. Leaving the studio is like taking a part of me, but I know I will be back to help later in my life. Dance is a part of my life that I will never get rid of. It will continue to help me express myself in ways that I never would have known possible. I've had the opportunity to do competition, pointe, Friday night combo class, technique, and Ms. Amanda's combo class also. I've gained so many friends and had so many different teachers. I'm so grateful for the experiences I've gotten over the years of me being at The Ballet Studio.

Mia Donnelly | Senior Dancer

My first year at TBS was in 2011 when I was five years old. That year, I danced to Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid and I immediately fell in love with all aspects of performing. Not long after, in second grade, I joined the competition team. Representing TBS at dance competitions made my love for dance even stronger. All of the teachers along the way, from Miss Tara's ballet class to Miss Amanda's combo class to Miss Cara and Miss Sherri's Saturday classes, made me learn more than just how to dance, but also about strength, confidence, and teamwork. It is very bittersweet knowing this is my last year with all of these amazing teachers and teammates. My memories at TBS will always be held very close to my heart. Thanks TBS!!

Amberlyn Wilson | Senior Dancer

In the couple years I've been dancing at The Ballet Studio, I have made countless memories and became closer to my friends. After previously doing gymnastics for over 6 years, The Ballet Studio gave me an opportunity to still use my skills that I learned in gymnastics, through lyrical, jazz and hip hop. I am forever grateful that this studio allowed me to express myself through dance and I am sad that this will my last year here.

Samantha DeSantis | Senior Dancer

Dance has always been something I held onto even when I stopped for some time. I rejoined dance and switched over to The Ballet Studio when I was in 8th grade. I am so grateful for everyone at the studio and the lovely teachers that made me feel very welcomed and comfortable over the years. I will never forget the fun memories and competition days as Britney, especially nationals and our Grease Production! So excited for my senior year of dance and all the extra opportunities. Following graduation, I will be attending college where I will major in cybersecurity and minor in psychology. Cannot wait to see what the future holds for me, and this all wouldn't be possible without my parents.

Olivia Brovak | Senior Dancer

I have been dancing at the ballet studio since I was 2 years old and have made many valuable memories and friendships here. Dancing is such an important part of my life. I have had so many great teachers that have helped me grow not only with technique, but also as a person. After dancing in the recreational class when I was younger and getting the basics of ballet and jazz, I joined the competition team. Being on the Competition Team is a very rewarding experience. I've always enjoyed competing in competition because of the nerves you get before you go on stage and then that free and exciting feeling you get when performing. Being a part of this team also gave me new teachers and new styles of dance. For a while my combination class teacher was Ms. Amber (my mom) and she always brought fun to the Friday night class! I now enjoy Ms. Amanda's combo class because she always brings great choreography! Ms. Sherri, Ms. Cara, and Ms. Courtney have been my competition teachers since I can remember and I'm so grateful to them for introducing me into the competition world of dance. Going into my senior year I am excited to continue my classes every week where I get to see some of my closest friends and spend time with others. I'm also very excited to learn and see all the dances in this upcoming season!

Mackenzie Molnar | Senior Dancer

I have always loved dance for as long as I can remember. I'm proud to say my journey at TBS started when I was 5 years old, and I've been here ever since. I have made countless memories in the studio, and I continue to make more as I use my dance skills in other activities, such as Musical Theatre. Out of all the dance styles I've done, lyrical will by far always be my favorite, but I also can't wait to finally participate in pointe this year! This place has always been my second home; a place where I can express myself and not be judged. I've made so many friends, especially this year! It feels so surreal that I'm graduating with my fellow dancers this year.. We've been through so much, especially with dancing throughout Covid-19. But I'm so glad we all stuck with each other, and I feel honored to finish out my senior year dancing alongside them all.
